Cakes of Happiness

Best way to celebrate CNY at home

It is 2021 and a lot of exciting projects are coming! Our first project is for Chinese New Year.

Every year, as a tradition, Chinese will celebrate the New Year with the whole big family.

Unfortunately, this year’s celebration needs to be contained at our own home. But, LOU would like to celebrate this special day with each and every one of you with our specially designed desserts that hopefully could still make up for this year’s festivities.

In traditional Chinese culture, cake is one of the mandatory items that must be provided during Chinese New Year because it symbolizes prosperity. In order to keep the New Year spirit in this unpredictable year to your relatives or your own home, we prepared our Cakes of Happiness especially for you!

The Cakes of Happiness consists of 4 types of sweet:

Pineapple Cheese Tart

This tart is our twist of nastar cake and is gluten free! The tart shell is made with chickpeas flour, filled with fresh pineapple jam, cream cheese mascarpone, and decorated with beautiful white chocolate and edible flowers.

Strawberry Rose Pagoda

This pagoda is a modification of our macaron with an extra layer of goodness, each filled with rose buttercream and LOU’s strawberry rose jam. The Chinese character Fú, means fortune, good luck and blessing, or also happiness, is written on top of each pagoda.

Lapis Legit

This classic Indonesian thousand layers cake is a must for special celebration such as Chinese New Year.

Mandarin Mousse Cake

This cake is a classic chocolate brownies with orange zest, filled with mandarin buttercream, topped with mandarin mousse sphere which is coated with mandarin gelatin.

With every bite, let us embrace the new year and keep hopeful for a brighter, better, and more joyful future!
