As an Indonesian studying abroad, Lou Lou participated in a number of Indonesian Students Association (PPIA) projects. Two of them were Project O, held by the RMIT branch of PPIA for charity purposes in 2016 and 2017.
To raise money in the first event themed ‘Wake Up Your Sense’, Lou Lou provided a big box full of individually wrapped macarons, which only cost $2 each!
While in the next Project O, instead of macarons, Lou Lou decided to go all out by serving four kinds of desserts: watermelon and tiramisu jar cakes; hazelnut-milk chocolate and matcha-raspberry mini tarts.
All money generated by Project O was donated to an Indonesian charity organisation which would allocate the funds to those in need. Through this event, Lou Lou with fellow Indonesian students in Australia could do a little something that would be valuable for the people back in our home country.
